Man, I relate to this so much😅 My starting to write about racism was basically a dam bursting as my frustration with the people supposedly speaking in my name became too much to cope with.

Movements, especially movements of people who feel downtrodden, are always at risk of being overrun by the loudest, angriest, most resentful voices. That's why it's so importan that reasonable people don't become too afraid to speak up.

As far as you presumption goes, every single one of us has stereotypical assumptions about groups we aren't part of if we don't make a concerted effort to fix them. When you notice something like this there's no need to feel guilty, take it as a reminder to widen your circle.
