Man, this is so sad. You really don't get it do you? You've spent so much time having stupid arguments on Medium that your brain is totally warped. I'm going to try to make this reallly clear:

Racial disparities aren't your fault.

When a black person highlights a racial disparity, that's not an attack on white people. Good God! That actually explains why you're such a weirdo about this stuff! When a black person talks about racism, do you feel like that's an attack on you?

Dude, did you build the society we live in? Did you decide it should be like this? Did you decide there should be slavery or Jim Crow or racism? No. You're no more responsible for any of the racism that black people face than I am.

Now, in your defence, I get that there are a bunch of black people, especially on Medium, talking as if that's not true. They act as if every single white person is personally responsible for every micro aggression they experience. But again, if you actually got to know a black person in real life, you'd know that this isn't the way most black people think. I don't even believe it's the way some of these writers think. They say it because it riles up their audience, Medium shares some of it more widely, and they get to make a few dollars. You're actually putting money in these idiots' pockets by engaging with them.

When I talk about racial disparities or the impact of historical racism, you're not implicated in that at all. No white people are really. I'm simply saying that these injustices exist and it would be really great if the powers-that-be did something about them instead of ignoring them.

I honestly don't know what to say, I feel like i've finally grasped what drives you to be such an ass online! I genuinely couldn't understand it. We aren't divided into teams. The sins of a few rich old white guys a hundred years ago have nothing to do with you. Just as the ways that some men have mistreated women in the past can't be blamed on me.

This seems like a good point to raise something you said in a previous discussion that I as just too bored of you to address. We were talking about education disparities I think, and you said something like, "Chinese people are Asian, and Asian is a race."

Now think about that. Asia is a continent. When you're talking about Asians, do you mean Koreans? Or Indians? Or Russians (part of Russia is in Asia)? Or the Bhutanese? Do you really think that all these people are somehow genetically the same? Do you think that you can speak in general terms about their intelligence or work ethic or culture? Do you think that their outcomes in any field whatsoever are the same?

Indians and Chinese immigrants actually do have similar outcomes when it comes to income. As a group, their incomes are amongst the higest in the US I think. But you can see that they're not the same, right? Just by looking. Do you think, that they're among the higest incomes because of some aspect of their "Asianness"? Or do you think maybe it has to do with the kind of people who immigrate to America? Do you think that maybe many of the other people in their country of the same "race" wouldn't fare as well because they haven't had the same education and opportunity that made coming to the US even an option?

Almost all disparities we see in the world are due to circumstances, and education. Genetics are a factor of course, some people really are smarter than others, but the idea that you can tell anything about a person by looking at the colour of their skin is 18th Century confusion.

Race isn't real dude.

If you take nothing else from everything I've written here, take this. Racism isn't your fault. Anybody who tres to claim that it is is wrong. Well...your racism is your fault. But honestly I don't care if you do anything about it or not. I've come to find our little chats quite amusing.

But if the reason that you're so defensive abou the existence of racism is tha you feel that mentioning is a personal attack on you or your "race", dude, feel better. Nothing could be further from the truth. At least from where I'm coming.
