My point is that the word doesn't matter. A better analogy here is if there were different words for a mass shooting if the killer had a silencer on his rifle or not.

Tens of thousands of children are being killed. Tens of thousands more maimed. Over a million people are at risk of starvation. If you need the word "genocide" to be applied to it before you have the humanity to care, you don't have the humanity to care.
