No, clearly I don't believe that. I believe that the vicious and unfair abuse she received for defending the jokes in a comedy special were damaging to her already fragile mental health.
Nobody in a healthy mental state kills themselves, full stop. And no one factor is responsible for the decision to do so. As you said, I clairified that already.
Dorman's family were vague about the cause of her suicide because a) they probably don't entirely know, and b) it's nobody's business.
But again, if some "right-wing" shill had unleashed his fans on a trans person and they'd been subjected to a huge pile-on online, I don't think for a second that you'd be struggling to see the issue.
It's the selective nature of this empathy and outrage which is the entire point of the piece.
