No, I think you're absolutely right about this. Furthermore, women were the people children could more reliably go to if they were seeking safety or protection. But yes, it so often seems to be women who have been indoctrinated by this ideology.
I'm often astonished to find myself arguing with women about the importance of female spaces. Or, at least, a standard of womanhood that doesn't allow any many who "feels like a woman" that day to enter women's spaces. I don't understand how the desire to be kind, a desire which I absolutely share, has morphed into a willingness to completely ignore the rights and needs of women and children.
