No, I wasn't making a connection between punctuality and intelligence. I was trying to point out how illogical it is to make an assumption about people's characteristics based on the colour of their skin. It makes no less sense to say that a certain group of people are dumb based on the colour of their skin than it does to say that they're incapable of being punctual.

Anyway, as I said in your other reply, I don't thnk there's much point in us discussing this. I know plenty of black people who have no problem turning up on time and plenty of white people who can't seem to do so to save their lives.

What you've quoted here doesn't support your argument at all. It links timekeeping to culture, which is a much more reasonable argument. But culture isn't the same as skin colour. If you tell me that soebody who grew up in Brazil say, is less concerned with punctuality than somebody who grew up in Tokyo, I'd agree (stereotypical though that argument is).

But linking that to their skin colour rather than the environment they grew up in doesn't make any sense at all. Not only that, it's the exact mindset that's been responsible for so much of the harm that black people have suffered.
