No. It is obviously not, except for the morons who think that recorded history started on October 7th. Israel had 75 years to do the right thing. You don't get to brutalise people for that long, do and say absolutely nothing, and when the inevitable backlash hits, say, "See? They're psychopaths!!"

Israel's psychopathic behaviour predates Hamas' existence. And as I will never tire of pointing out, Hamas only exist because Netanyahu's Israel funded them because he wanted to destabilise the Palestinian Authority, who were significantly more reasonable that Hamas.

And man, what planet are you living on? How were the people in Gaza supposed to focus on "building their place better" when it was given to them in ruins, when they had no meaningful support in stabilising it or rebuilding it, and when the resulting chaos, that led to Hamas' takeover, led Israel to impose a complete military blockade? And all this while the violent settlement of the West Bank increased. Israel removed 8,000 settlers from Gaza and over 15,000 appeared in the West Bank the same year.

You know, you must know, that there was no way for the people in Gaza to build something out of this. And you must be able to see that the Palestinian Authority couldn't see this as a good faith gesture. The Israelis admitted that this wasn't a good faith gesture.
