No, not really. Medium is a place where people who can barely string a sentence together give "writing advice", where twenty years olds tell people how to live a fulfilling life, where people whose lives are a mess tell others how to be their best selves. It's a longform social media platform where too many people are just trying to gain attention and money by writing whatever sticks to the wall.

Honestly, it still surprises me that my approach to talking about race works here on a platform that so thrives on sensationalism and outrage, but I guess my USP is the fact that I'm one of the few that is trying to achieve something different😅

Most of the worst race writers here can't even begin to defend the nonsense they write, but they write it anyway because it gets clicks and comments. That's why they block people instead of engaging with disagreement. I've been blocked by a number of race writers myself, simply for asking polite questions about what they've written. No response, no nothing. Just blocked and deleted once my reply got a few too many claps and reached the top of the list of comments.

These people are frauds. Please don't mistake them for representatives of anything except their own shitty characters.
