No, this is my entire point! What the heck is the "politics of whiteness"? This desire to racialise everything is so wrong! These people didn't "ignore their skin colour", just as those of us who would never support Trump didn't focus intently on ours. We simply did what we thought was best. Colour is irrelevant.

Of course I think that those people, of all colours, who went to the Capitol were wrong. But I'm not dividing that wrongness up by colour. We can disagree with each other without it being some kind of crisis of racial identity.
