Nope. I'm not talking about reparations, at least not financial reparations. I'm talking about social and education programs. I'm talking about consistent and effective investment in neighbourhoods that are still ravaged by the historical effects of redlining. I'm talking about criminal justice reform and a review of the cases of people serving long sentences because of the war on drugs.
Poor white people would benefit from all of these efforts too. I'm 100% happy with that. Rich black people would hardly be affected. I'm fine with that too. But most people who would benefit would be black because most people who were harmed were black. It's really that simple.
