Nope, this isn't true. All that matters is whether you care about the issue. Whether you're willing to take the time to listen to other perspectives and, in the current climate, whether you're brave enough to honestly express your own.

This idea that white people need to sit down and shut up needs to die. White people are 60% of the population for goodness sake. Healing, and progress, requires that they engage. The people driving up division and tension between black and white eople are doing nothing but preventing that healing from happening.
