Not saying I know better than "trans people." Just, apparently, on this particular occasion, better than you.

No, of course I'm not just taking one source. The broadening of the trans umbrella has been happening for years. I'm not going to spend Half an hour digging up sources just so you can still accuse me of cherry-picking or bias or something else.

I also mentioned Eddie Izzard. For almost his whole life a self-declared transvestite. And suddenly, despite no diagnosis of gender dysphoria, no hormones, no surgery, he's a "woman" using female spaces. But of course, he's juts one person. So let's ignore him too. It's never enough.

God! I know that what I'm saying doesn't represent the entire community. I make that clear, in various ways, in every single article. I never, absolutely never, suggest that the actions of a few trans women represent the entire community.

In fact, the entire point of the article, the point that I asked you to reread in the other comment chain, is that the refusal to acknowledge the problems I've pointed to here is the main reason why some people have become unwilling to differentiate between trans women and predators. If you refuse to acknowledge that there's a difference, some people will believe you.

So yes, is it possible that you're so hopelessly biased and defensive on this issue that you're not thinking about it objectively? Is it possible that th e bubble you're in is not the same bubble that lots of other reasonable people are in? Is it possible that this lazy knee jerk instinct to frame all disagreement as "hate" or "transphobia" is making you blind to some of the very real issues people are trying to point out?

I want both women and trans people to arrive at a good solution here. I know you don't think so. But I do. I've argued the "trans side" of this debate numerous times with people who were actually transphobic. It's just that in a world where you're surrounded by people who tell you that you're fabulous and biology is meaningless compared to gender identity and everybody who disagrees with you is evil, I'm pointing out that actually, that's not true. If you want to shoot the messenger, shoot away.
