Oh God, thank you for this. I really wish every single person on whatever side of the political aisle would come to this same realisation. I'm constantly amazed by the levels of dogmatic certainty and emotion in some people, even though they clearly have no idea about what they're talking about, because they've swallowed some hopelessly biased, partial, or flat-out inaccurate telling of events.

The political right and left are so good at pointing out when "the other side" is guilty of this, but so bad at admitting that "their side" does it too. This is great. Thankyou. I'm sure Argumentative Penguin will be delighted to hear about this.
