😅Oh man, as soon as I read your first sentence I was like “Oh no, this is going to be one of those Frank Turek style ‘what’s the objective standard for good if not God?’ arguments isn’t it?”

I’m not going to get drawn into a long conversation on this as it has nothing to do with the article, but this isn’t a difficult argument to counter. “Treat others as you want to be treated” (an idea which predates Christ by at least 500 years by the way), is all that’s required to arrive at a moral standard at least as stable as anything Christianity has arrived at.

In fact, it also encompasses the morality of things the bible is troublingly silent on or advocates such as rape, slavery and genocide.
