Oh yeah, absolutely. I'm not even beginning to argue that there isn't a racism problem in policing. I just don't think it's the only problem. Or even, the biggest problem. There's a huge amount of police brutality that goes largely ignored because it doesn't generate as much outrage. And it should. As you say, that includes a lot of blatant sexism as well as the murder of other minorities (Native Americans are actually the racial group most disproportionately affected by police brutality).

It's just so frustrating to see this universal issue become yet another battleground n the culture wars. Everybody benefits from fixing it.

And as for BLM, yes, I think it's a mixture of intentional deceit and unpreparedness. The unpreparedness is easy to forgive. But there doesn't seem to be any will to fix the mistakes. Just more doubling down and more money going missing.
