Okay, great. I did read what you wrote. Obviously. That's why I asked you if you had any reason for stating this other than the change to Hamas' charter. There's no strawmanning or projection here. I literally asked you to explain your position (quite difficult to strawman an argument you're asking for clarification on) because I couldn't quite believe you had nothing more substantial to back it up than this.
But fine, you really do take the word of a terrorist organisation (or rather, just the removal of a few words from a terrorist organisation's charter) over their brutal slaughter of 1200 people (Israel recently revised the estimate to 1200, not 1000), and their kidnap of 240 more. Not to mention the recent public statements of several senior Hamas officials reiterating their desire to eradicate Israel and their indifference to the lives of Palestinians in Gaza.
Gooootcha.
And while you rightly point out, yet again, the atrocities Israel has committed against Palestinians, you ignore or are unaware of the fact that Hamas has also been killing and torturing and imprisoning Palestinians for decades.
Anway, if the above wasn't enough to make me feel that this conversation has become a waste of time, we seem to have come full circle. You made the bulk of this point already in your original comment and I already agreed. Yes, if you grow up in a concentration camp it's going to affect you.
I said that this didn't justify the slaughter of innocent people who had nothing to do with it and you agreed. So far, so good.
But as I'm sure you know, there are over 2 million people living in Gaza. They are, indeed, poor souls. Not just because of Israel's brutal mistreatment, but because of Hamas'. Yet only a tiny, tiny fraction of them (far less than 2%) decided to "do some horrible shit." I would think most people who broke out of a concentration camp would be trying to live their best life instead of targeting elementary schools and youth centres in a bit to slaughter as many civilians as possible. But maybe that's just me.
Although, as far as I'm aware, none of the Jews held in actual concentration camps in Germany became homicidal maniacs who slaughtered innocent Germans upon their release either. Certainly not 1200 of them.
So I'm not sure what you think it is you understand. But I'm beginning to strongly suspect it's not worth hearing. So I think I’ll bow out here.
