Okay, let's get this straight.

Do you think there's validity to this argument? Because this is what started this whole long, winding thread. Even the person who made this comment didn't try to defend it. But you did. So I assumed that you were standing behind it. Still, you know what they say about people who assume.

So let's be very clear; do you think that the history of slave patrols is relevant to this modern day conversation we're having about black police officers killing a black man? Yes or no?

If yes, please explain how, so that I don't "strawman" your argument. Using some kind of data if possible, or at least a chain of logic. If not, please stop claiming that I'm strawmanning when what I'm actually doing is pointing out a silly, evidence-free argument.
