Sorry, usually when people do the..."whoops, I 'accidentally' responded to my own comment instead of yours," thing, I take the hint that they wanted to end the conversation while getting the “last word”. But there's just so much inaccuracy in this comment.

First, yes, a ~10x military response is, in fact, wildly disproportionate. Hamas killed ~1200 people. Israel has killed, so far, well over 11,000. With no end in sight. And this ratio is on the low end for this conflict. Israel almost always kills dramatically more Palestinian civilians than it lost Israel civilians.

Second, yes, exit polls aren't perfectly reliable. Although, of course, they're used all over the world because they often are. But look at those results again. This isn't some slim margin as with Trump/Clinton. 79.5% of Palestinians wanted peace with Israel when Hamas came to power. Imagine whatever margin of error you like. That's still very significant.

And I'll remind you that I'm putting my exit poll up against your...completely evidence-free claim. No exit poll, no data, not even an anecdote. Just you declaring, out of thin air, that "everyone in that region (not trying to use an absolute but for the most part true) wants Israel as a nation to not exist."

So you might think my supporting facts are misleading. But you haven't provided facts. You seem way too thoughtful to be this frivolously biased.
