…eel like home the way it did for you. I think I felt more foreign there than anywhere else. And yet I loved Ryoanji temple, the National Museum, Hikone Castle, and most of all, the wonderful if mystifying kabuki performance at The Minami-za.
Beautiful metaphor, Steve. I'm still thinking through whether and how it fits me.

Stop! God, this list is making me so nostalgic! Ryoan-ji and Hikone especially. I can't wait to go back. As soon as the COVID restrictions are over I'll be booking a flight.
