The civil rights movement brought progress because black people now have the right to vote and don't have to suffer under segregation. It brought progress because hate groups like the KKK are illegal and we can sit where we like on buses.
It brought progress because we can attend elite colleges and hold public office a thousand other things. Black people literally died for that progress. The fact that you'd try to belittle it makes me sick, and is a dazzling beacon of your ignorance.
Yes, there's still work to be done, but that doesn't mean that the work that already was done was meaningless. It's only lightweights like you who don't understand that.
The deaths of black people at the hands of the police has absolutely nothing to do with CRT. And I said nothing about systemic racism fixing itself. Are you really so deranged that all you can do is argue with things the person you're talking to hasn't said?
My comment clearly says that "We absolutely can and should still talk about and oppose racism". CRT is simply the worst way I can think of to do so. And because I care more about the wellbeing of black people than blindly defending ideologies that harm them, I took the time to educate myself.
