The situation in Northern Ireland was significantly different in a number of ways. It's not just about how the new government would work, it's what happens to the home you were displaced from, it's what happens to the people who stole them, it's what happens to the land that was stolen. Please address these questions. Or don't. Again, I know exactly what you'd want if you home or land were stolen.

I mean, you did literally say, "I would not be happy with the Hamas tactic of trying to switch and bait Iran into a conflict," so it certainly sounds like you think Hamas are goading Iran into a confrontation. But yes, I guess there's a way of looking at it that means Hamas would benefit from Iranian involvement.

The thing is, again, the only people who seem hell bent on provoking that involvement are Netanyahu and his cronies. And there's a way of looking at it that sees them benefitting too. Especially as, and I can't stress this enough, all they had to do to avoid all of this was follow international law (!!!!!).

Sure, there may well be a gap between what Iran is saying and what they'll do here. I can't really say either way. Though, of course, there are demonstrable gaps between what Netanyahu has been saying and doing too. So if you're against a wider war, great. So am I. It seems incredibly clear that Netanyahu and Co. are the number one risk factor in creating that wider war. Behind closed doors, it seems that even Biden agrees.
