The word "rationalise" was one ofthe researchers' not mine. But yeah, I agree. Or rather I think the wider point is that the researchers were wrong to assume in this case that there was such a thing as a "right" answer. The researchers realised this.

Both the Kpelle and the students had logical reasons for their categorisations. They were just different.
