This is actually the main point I'm making in the article; why is this okay? Why do we normalise this public cruelty just because the target of it is rich?
And while I don't see Will's actions as any reflection on the black community in general, I just think it's a horrible example for a man who is a role model to millions to set.
I do see your point about the Smith's publicising their own lives though. Certainly Jada has put a lot of stuff "out there." But there's a limit, no? I don't know where that limit lies, but the endless jokes and jabs about your personal life, in interviews that have nothing to do with your personal life, must be exhausting.
