This is really insightful. And absolutely true. Over and over again we're told, in subtle and unsubtle ways, that the crowing achievement of humanity is emotion, not reason.
And, of course, both are important. But we're increasingly rarely (almost never anymore) encouraged to put logic and reason before our feelings. "Alternative facts", "lived experience" "my truth" objectivity has become oppression in so many people's minds.
