This is simply, categorically false. I don't understand how people can say stuff like this so confidently when they obviously haven't looked at the facts.

Jews have been living in that region for thousands of years, of course, AS HAVE ARABS. The name Palestine (or Falestin as it was originally), dates back to around 5BC. They both have an absolutely valid claim to the land.

But one thing that seems to be tripping a lot of people up is the idea that ALL Jews have a valid claim to the land.

My ancestry is obviously African. In fact, if you go back far enough, everybody's homeland is Africa. But none of us have a right to claim land in Africa just because our ancestors lived there 3000 years ago. None of us can kick the indigenous people off their land in Kenya, say, and claim that we have a birthright to it. That's not how indigeneity works.

The people who are actually indigenous to that land Jews, Christians and Muslims, were already living there, in peace, for hundreds of years. It's Zionism, the idea that an unlimited number of Jews had a God -given right to displace the Arab population, and were justified in killing them to do so, that threw the region into turmoil.
