This is such a ludicrous take on what I said in the article. I take free speech very seriously, and yes, that includes those I disagree with.
But beyond the tired but relevant argument that Twitter banning an account, as they have done countless times before, isn't "suffocating free speech", the only reason the attack on the capitol occured, the ONLY reason, is that Trump was allowed to lie unchecked to millions of people for years. The five people who died would stiill be alive if Trump had simply been prevented from lying on a public platform.
We all can and shoud have differences of opinion. We should be able to state our opinions without fear of censorship. We shouldn't need to tolerate easily verifiable lies in a public forum.
