This might well be true. But again, my question is, why do you think people aren't already desensitised to violence. You suggested in your initial reply that video games *will* make kids see wars and weapons as normal. As if they don't already. As if all of their cartoons and toys don't promote wars and weapons to them on a daily basis.

I mean, people have been warning about desensitisation to violence since the printing press. The violence we see in movies is far more graphic than the violence in video games.

I'm not closed off to your argument, you're just not making an argument An argument is different to an assertion based on your feelings.

As for whether we should have games that contain rape or violence towards black people, this very strongly suggests that it's been a long time since you played a video game😅. You think you're only allowed to shoot white people in video games? Haven't you heard about GTA's prostitues who you can have sex with and then beat to death?

I'd prefer games to be all sunshine and rainbows. I'd prefer that people didn't say mean things. But free speech and artistic expression means they have to be free to say things I dislike.

So yes, while I don't like it, I think anything that isn't incitement to violence or illegal under hate speech laws should be allowed. And I'm thankful that even though I suspect it isn't technically illegal, no game developer has made a game featuring an actual rape because most human beings are decent enough to be disgusted by the idea.
