I wasn’t planning to watch Matt Walsh’s documentary, What is A Woman. Mainly because, and I can’t stress this enough, Matt Walsh is a creep.

Matt Walsh thinks the best solution if a father impregnates his 12-year-old daughter, is to force her to keep the baby (this is especially disturbing when you consider he’d be reluctant to report his son for sexually abusing one of his daughters).

He thinks that the root of the child abuse scandal that rocked the Catholic church “is not pedophilia” but rather “gay priests."

He thinks that voting rights should be reserved for those he deems “qualified to do it properly” (which might be for the best considering he once “fearlessly walked through a patch of poison ivy” because he thought he was immune).

Matt Walsh is one of the most ignorant, bigoted, misogynistic grifters the internet has ever seen. So I assumed I could safely skip an hour of his views on womanhood.

But as the reactions and reviews began to roll in, it became clear something significant was happening.

People from across the political spectrum, many of whom are fundamentally opposed to Walsh, were watching, sharing and agreeing with the film. Somehow…
