Uh...are you actually unaware that the Nazis killed around 2 million ethnic Poles? Not Polish Jews (they killed around 3 million of them), Poles.
Poles, too, were viewed as untermenschen whose slavic ancestry made them racially inferior. I'm sorry, I don't have time to keep digging up links on this, but this is...extremely common knowledge. The Nazis committed genocide against Polish people for being Polish as well as Jews for being Jews. This isn't a competition.
And you've gone from lying about me putting words in your mouth to lying about me using bait and switch tactics. I didn't say anything about mainstream IDF policy. I simply said the IDF deliberately kills civilians, which they do. If you're actually interested, there are several accounts from IDF whistleblowers talking about how normalised it is to brutalise and kill civilians. As well as, obviously, the evidence of your own eyes and ears and the examples I already cited. There is no excuse for not knowing this but wilful burying your head in the sand..
And again with this antisemitism canard. I've not said anything about poisoned wells or blood libels. Why are you talking to me about this? Yes, there are antisemites in the world. There are racists too! Just a few days ago, I saw a thread on Twitter with 50k likes talking about how black people have an average IQ of 65 and a "bestial nature." I don't lay that at the door of every person I have a conversation with about racism.
Bigotry, sadly, isn't going away any time soon. But I'm not guilty of it. So I refuse to be dragged into a conversation about what idiots who have nothing to do with me are doing. The fact that antisemitism is a real problem, made worse, frankly, by this constant implication that criticising Israel is the same as criticising Jews, doesn't mean that Israel is above criticism.
So yes, if you think every person or organisation that criticises Israel does so because of anti-Israel bias, even the ones, like me and the UN and Amnesty International, who have unequivocally condemned and criticised Hamas, I'm not sure what to tell you. This is just such a ridiculous position.
And yes, I know Hamas are evil. I saw the news about UNWRA. And even though it appears to be a tiny fraction of their staff who were involved, I've never, ever done anything but criticise Hamas and the people who help/sympathise with them.
But sure, I know how you feel. Because every time I see the IDF killing civilians in cold blood, every time the settler massacres in the West Bank reach the news, every time I see radicals setting fire to humanitarian aid, every time a former IDF soldier has the courage to speak up, every time there’s news of another "tragic mistake" killing hundreds of civilians with absolutely no consequences or change in behaviour, I think to myself, maybe now these people will get it.
Maybe now they'll understand that Israel is not on the side of righteousness either. Maybe they'll see that the Israeli government has an extremism problem. Maybe they'll see that Netanyahu places no value on Palestinian life and that slaughtering innocent people should always be condemned, whether it's done by Hamas or Netanyahu.
There are many addresses for the outrage to be directed. The world is waking up to that fact even if you refuse to.
