Was this meant to say "what community do I primarily identify with?"

I don't really. Of course, I am black. So I can identify with black people's struggles a little more intimately than other groups'.

But if I had to give an answer, I'd say simply people who are willing to talk honestly, think carefully and listen compassionately. Anybody who has the courage of their convictions and is willing to speak up for them.

If I'm going to consider myself part of a community, it will be because of our values, not because we happen to have the same skin colour or vote for the same party.
