Well, let me first say, huge respect for this. Everyone makes mistakes, only a very few have the integrity to acknowledge them. Especially online.
I'll take the charge of being patronising to the students.
I think, by and large, they're doing a terrible job of presenting the case for Palestine in a way that will convince anybody who doesn't already agree with them. I also think they've done a terrible job (perhaps by design) of rooting out and condemning the appalling antisemitism that's accompanied the justified criticism of Israel's actions. This, too, only harms the cause of innocent Palestinians.
So yes, I think the students are acting like children, which, as I say in the article, I don't entirely blame them for. They are children. And the adults have mostly done a terrible job of offering them a better example.
