Well, yes. But you need to think carefully about why those things are happening. I would never fail to condemn rape or any attack on innocent civilians. But that goes both ways. Israel has been murdering Palestinians for decades. The IDF raped Palestinians in 1948 and is doing so now in Israeli detention centres. And one of the key reasons Israel isn't safe is that it isn't within the internationally recognised borders. Are you kidding me??

The West Bank Barrier isn't within the 1967 borders. The settlements aren't within the 1967 borders. The land being continuously seized by the Israeli government isn't within the 1967 borders. Gaza, while not technically "occupied," has been besieged for the past 17 years, which is arguably worse than occupation. How do you not know this if you clam to have the slightest interest in the Palestinians and their cause?

So if your feelings about the 2.1 million people living in Gaza, not to mention the ~3 million people living in the West Bank, turn 180º on a single attack by a group of terrorists, I daresay your sympathy for them never amounted to much. Especially as, before October 7th, there was practically no excuse to support Israel's oppression of the Palestinians.
