Well, yes, "the other side" has made it very clear. As "the author" clearly laid out with referenced quotes, in the article.
"There are no uninvolved civilians."
"We are imposing a complete siege on Gaza [...] we are fighting human animals and will act accordingly." Note, not Hamas, Gaza.
"We must find ways for Gazans that are more painful than death." Note, not Hamas, Gazans.
"I don't think that there is anyone in Greater Israel who should have mercy on these Gazans. Not on the elderly, not on the young, and not on the children." Again, not Hamas, Gazans.
And then, of course, there's Netanyahu himself, who not only invokes the genocidal tale of Amalek, but says clearly that he's going to continue his invasion, whether there's a "deal or no deal" to release the hostages.
But, of course, you try to reframe that as, "just release our civilians and lay down your weapons!" 🥺👉👈
Laughable that you try to accuse me of gaslighting.
The point of the article/title, which has clearly sailed completely over your literalist head, is that it doesn't matter if you call what's happening in Gaza a "genocide." Whether you call it a murder or a slaughter or a "festival de pelotas," it's wrong, Everybody can see that it's wrong. And more to the point, it has no hope of achieving its aims of "destroying Hamas" or helping the hostages. It's almost certainly killed some of them.
Hamas are evil. So is Netanyahu's government. It's genuinely depressing how many people are too direction-brained to recognise both these truths.
