What do you mean by "need" here? Be precise. Because I'm fairly sure you haven't informed yourself well here.
Gender dysphoric children need support. I don't think any reasonable person would disagree with that. But given that somewhere around 80% of gender dysphoric children outgrow their dysphoria if allowed to go though puberty naturally, avoiding a lifetime of medicalisation and high-complication-rate surgery, I think there's a strong argument that that support shouldn't always be medical.
And yes, as I mention in the article, some children are prescribed puberty blockers because of precocious puberty. And as I also mention, there is an obvious and significant difference between giving a child a drug so their natural puberty occurs when it's supposed to, and giving a child a drug so that their natural puberty doesn't occur at all.
