Wow, that's quite the assumption you make about me. I think no such thing about older people. I disagree with you on some things, but I don't extend your viewpoint to older people in general. And obviously I'm not like them because somehow, despite my alleged youthful arrogance, I was able to understand how flawed this phrase was.

I wasn't just talking about white people when I mentioned people who don't think about race. A lot of the black people I encounter online seem to imagine that people of colour all see race the same way they do, but it's just not true. Most people, of all colours, are just trying to live their lives.

A lack of constant activism doesn't imply that they see activism as a fad or that they don't care, it means they're human beings with jobs and families and that those things will often take priority over changing society at large. Many black people make this same choice. After all, I don't see black people marching in the streets anymore either.

I disagree with the distinction you're making on white supremacy. Critical race theory advocates have attempted to redefine white supremacy this way, just as they've tried to redefine what anti-racism and racism mean. I don't buy it. Growing up seeing that you're in the majority doesn't mean that you think you're superior to everybody who isn't. By that logic, I should see myself as superior to homosexuals or trans people or disabled people, and if you're not in those categories you should too. This is my whole problem. The psychology applied to white people by your arguments is just so simplistic and almost exclusively negative.

So here's a question. How does a white peron redeem themselves in your mind? How do they prove once and for all that they're not racist? And a folllow-up question, what does a non-racist society look like to you? What's the endgame you're hoping for?
