Yeah, for many reasons, you can't look at Medium as a reflection of "the black community."

Medium is extremely left-leaning, is one of the few websites on the internet to charge a membership fee, and distributes millions of articles algorithmically. There's no possibility that a representative sample of any community reads the articles here. Never mind comments on them.

This isn't a knock on Medium, it's true of the entire internet. It's why it's always a mistake to judge a demographic based on what members do online.
