Yeah, I completely and utterly agree. I actually touched on that exact problem in an article recently. But the opposite danger is running so hard from this that we're too afraid of Godwin's law to admit we see who Putin reminds us of until it's too late.

I'm not calling Trump a Nazi. I'm not hysterical about him. But as I said, America has robust systems designed precisely to keep somebody like him in check. And even with those in place, look how far Trump got in his attempts to break them.

Russia doesn't even have those (what little protections it did have were ignored or re-written by Putin). Nor does China. As we're seeing, the damage that enables is much greater.
