Yeah, I kind of see why you say this. My intent wasn't to portray those extremists as the spokespeople for all of Israel. And, of course, I do mention the "bestial acts" Palestinians have committed against Israel. My overall point is that it's not so simple to look at people as only bad or only good as so many people want to do.

Nat Turner was "bad," but most people can sympathise with his cause. The slaveowners weren't "good" but they also (especially the women and children) didn't deserve what happened to them.

As far as I'm aware, life was mostly peaceful before the 1920s or so. There was conflict, as there has been between Jews, Muslims and Christians for millennia, but nothing like we're seeing today. I agree though, this might be an interesting topic to look deeper into.
