Yeah, I know the feeling. 😅

I guess it helps that most of the people who are simple-minded enough to see anybody who disagrees with them as the enemy can't do any harm. Their disingenuousness means having to choose your words precisely, but that's not such a bad habit to get into anyway, I guess.

And more than that, it's about resisting the urge to think of the occasional idiots who say mean things as representatives of their "group." I don't trust an individual who has proven themselves to be untrustworthy, that would be naive, it's just about not letting that spill over to anybody who shares whatever group identity they have.
