Yeah, I think a lot of people, especially those trying to paint Amy Cooper as "the real" victim, have been very selective about the facts they show. I really think the video speaks for itself:

As Melissa's article points out, Christian admitted that he had dogs treats on his person because he'd experienced this numerous times befiore, and I agree with you that a feeding a stranger's dog is the wrong thing to do. As I said, if Cooper had called the police and said "there's a stranger trying to feed my dog and I'm uncomfortable about it," we probably wouldn't be talking about her and we certainly wouldn't be calling her a racist.
But he only got the treats out after asking Amy to leash her dog, and her refusing. Him saying "you're not going to like" what he was going to do was also obviously going to upset her. Again, I'm not trying to paint him as an angel. I'm just saying that his character is irreleveant to the obvious racism that followed.
The simple fact is, she tried to intimidate him by saying "I'm going to tell the police there's an African-American man threatening my life." She knew perfectly well this was untrue (as you can see, if anybody is the aggressor in the video, it's her). She then repeated this lie to the police three times while pretending to be in distress when she wasn't. She also spends most of the video strangling her poor dog with its collar rather than just clipping on the leash that would have (and eventually did) ended the entire situation.
I just can't see how anybody can argue with theses simple facts, and in Melissa's case, she simply ignores any facts that aren't convenient to the case she wants to make.
