Yeah, if I wrote expecting to persuade the most extreme writers on Medium I'd never write anything. I know that lots of people aren't interested in anything but their echo chamber. But that number isn't even close to 100%, even here on Medium. And in society at large it's even lower.

The sane people are the ones I'm writing for, or the ones who are captured by bad ideas simply because they haven't been exposed to better ones. But talking to people we disagree with is the only way forward that doesn't end badly for absolutely everybody.

As Sasha@NY points out (and I've pointed out before), the blame for the current state of race relations can hardly be blamed entirely on the CRT crazies. The selfish people who have only just noticed racism exists now that it affects them have their fair portion of the blame.
