Yeah, let me say that I completely understand this and that I simultaneously find it completely heartbreaking. I hear from white people who are at (or near) the end of their rope with the way racial issues are currently discussed far too regularly.

And of course, all this does is drive us further apart. Nobody is going to sign up for a torrent of abuse about how terrible they are forever.

Medium is an awful place to read about race unfortunately. In fact, most of the internet is. Not only because hyperbole and drama sells, but because its so easy to dehumanise people. I honestly believe that the vast majority of black people in real life are faaar more reasonable than anything you'll read here. But your experience might be different to mine of course.
