Yeah of course I agree. I'm not arguing that people who are combatting racism shouldn't get paid. Not at all. But there's a difference between a job or an income, and a cynical cash grab.

My point is actually closer to something you mention later, the trillions being made by the exploitation of black people. Only lately, that profit is being had by industries solely focused on repackaging black suffering. Whether it's showing images of us being murdered on screen every day (in fiction and non-fiction) or producing educational materials that teach black children that they're doomed to be lifelong victims.

How is any of that money actually helping black people or benefiting black communities? How does teaching a black child that he can't get ahead help him? Cullors is a multi-millionaire while BLM chapters trying to do grassroots work are crying out that they aren't getting access to the millions of dollars donated to BLM. If she or Kendi or even DiAngelo were getting rich while black people thrived, I'd be cheering louder than anybody. But I don't see that happening. And I've been looking.
