Yeah, sadly I can't help but agree. Sandy Hook was so shocking because, at least to my memory, it was the first time that something so viscerally horrific had taken place. The thought of elementary school children being torn apart by bullets, it felt inevitable that this would be the one to make the difference.

With that in the past, it's hard to imagine what could be tragic enough to really spur action.
