Yeah, this is such an important point. It's hard to make the distinction clearly enough sometimes, but it's important to draw a sharp line between the groups of people themselves, in this case trans people, and the "activists" who act as their unelected mouthpieces.

As with many social justice movements, I'm totally unconvinced that these people have the interest of their community at heart. Their "activism" is simply an opportunity to get attention and money and spew their vitriol into the world.
