Yeah, this is true. But I do think it makes a difference how those facts are presented. And, of course, the point of the article is to think about how we receive the facts that challenge us and whether we can resist the urge to dig in our heels.

But I'm not interested in debating who is worse. This is a perfect way of ignoring the ways that the left is guilty of this too. People "on the right" think the left is every bit as unreasonable as people "on the left" think the right is. Mainly because both sides caricature the worst, stupidest takes from the other, and pretend that those extreme views are typical of everybody.

Absolutely everybdy is capable of being an idiot. The only real differentiating factor is how hard we're each willing to fight that flaw.
