Yep, I was conscious of the potential for this criticism, which is why I asked, first of all, whether any of these rulings actually benefit America, and secondly, whether something has gone wrong when a non-partisan organisation, especially one based in law, should be so openly partisan.
The rulings I mentioned are almost all unpopular with the majority of Americans (with the exception of affirmative action). And I think most people who support them can make strong, secular arguments for why Roe vs Wade or Griswold vs Connecticut or Obergefell vs Hodges are beneficial to America.
The counterarguments are almost exclusively, "because God doesn't like it."
