Yep. The root issue, in all of these cases, is cowardice. People being too afraid to stick their heads above the parapet and tell the truth.

But, of course, that's almost entirely useless as solution. People have good reason to be afraid. They have a lot to lose. Especially in Hollywood. And most of the time, when people do stick their head above the parapet, it gets cut off and nobody else backs them up.

So I guess the change we need is an environment where it's not so costly to speak up. Where you could be confident that if you say something, you'll be supported. That's difficult to create too. But not as difficult as demanding spontaneous courage from people en masse.
