Yes it does. But the rise in that power should concern everybody who isn't being terribly short-sighted.

There isn't a good way to do authoritarianism. And people don't freely give up power once they've gained it. The way you casually sacrifice "good" people for the righteousness of whatever cause you think is worthwhile is really troubling.

Also, dude, aren't you a white American?? The way you talk about white people as if you aren't one is really odd. Given that you clearly see yourself as being better than the "other" white people, don't you think that there should at least be some degree of diferentiation? Instead of this "white people are all the same" schtick? Even if just to keep you in your position of moral superiority?
