You can't just make declarations like this. The English language isn't on your side. Female is a biological term. Thank God we''ve at least agreed on that. Woman is a word that describes and adult, human female. So necessarily there's a biological component. And the only wiggle room you have is around the definition of the words "adult" and "human."

We can talk about words like "womanly", or "feminine" or any of the many gendered terms we use to describe feminine attributes or social norms, but no, again this is only controversial because you're trying to make it so.

And yes, I know race is a construct. That's actually a wonderful example. I am black. Some people think that's definitive of behaviour or intelligence or criminality or any number of other things, but really, it's simply marker of my ancestry and the amount of melanin in my skin.

But here's the important part; you, at least going by your picture, are not black.

And there is nothing you can ever do to become black. You can adopt "black" behaviours, you can speak in a "black" way, you can do any number of thing that's conform to limited stereotypes of what a black person is, and none of them will make you black.

But, to be clear, I think you should be free to adopt any behaviours you want to. Wear your hair in dreads, put on a daishiki, learn to speak Swahili whatever you like. I think the concept of cultural appropriation is ridiculous. But while I believe you, as a white person, should be free to behave in any way you please, while I would welcome you into a black community, I'm still aware of what the difference between a black person and a white person is.

One thing I've noticed that people like you do is continually try to make this an argument from. first principles. It's a waste of my time. Until 10 years ago or so, nobody had any trouble admitting that they know what a woman is, for example. But now you want to pretend that it's a mystery and obfuscate the issue, primarily by hiding behind intersex people, who have absolutely nothing to do with trans identities anyway.

No, sorry. If you can define "woman" in a coherent, non self-referential way (as 100% of people can, and 99% of people are willing to admit that they can), we can proceed on that basis. Otherwise, Godspeed.
